A shareholding balanced between the public and private sectors

Since 2003, the shareholders of CNR have been balanced between the public and private sectors. The majority is publicly owned (50.03%), divided between the Groupe Caisse des Dépôts (33.2%) and local authorities (16.83%). ENGIE, a major global energy company, owns the remaining 49.97% of CNR’s capital.

CNR acts in close collaboration with the territories. Thanks to its missions in the general interest, it returns to them part of the value generated from renewable hydro, wind, and solar energies. This model allows supporting their development, promoting useful projects and strengthening the company’s local roots.
