Why carry out these two developments?
The small hydropower plant (SHPP) will produce 100% local, green electricity using the water of the Rhone. This structure will therefore participate in reaching the French government’s targets regarding the development of renewable energies.
CNR has associated the construction of a fish pass with the hydropower plant that will improve the passage of fish species by aiding their access to the Rhone from the river Gardon, a tributary. This pass illustrates CNR’s commitment in favour of biodiversity.

The species that benefit
A video counting zone in the structure measures the passage of species. Monitoring will be carried out by angling associations to evaluate fish activity.
