Thanks to integrated management unique in Europe, governance organised around the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.cnr.tm.fr\/en\/activities\/navigation-et-developpement-portuaire\/axe-mediterranee-rhone-saone\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">MeRS (Mediterranean-Rhone-Saone) Corridor<\/a> and a long-term vision driven by CNR, river transport becomes a major lever for massifying logistics, reindustrialisation and territorial attractiveness.<\/p>\n<p>In a context in which environmental challenges are increasingly pressing, <strong>the river allows combining economic performance, ecological transition and territorial development<\/strong>. At present, <strong>75% of river traffic on the river on the MeRS corridor transits via the platforms managed by CNR<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>The ports of the Rhone encompass about <strong>928 hectares of port and industrial activities<\/strong>, with serviced plots, river wharves, warehouses, railway branch lines, and road connections. The aim is to massify flows entering greater Lyon, reducing emissions in the Low Emissions Zone (ZFE) and offering carbon-free last-mile delivery solutions.<\/p>\n<p>This investment of \u20ac46 million includes 15,000 m\u00b2 of photovoltaic panels, as well as a biogas, electricity and, eventually, a hydrogen charging centre. It embodies a<strong> new generation of logistics centres in the service of a more sustainable city<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n                                                                                                                                    <\/div>\n                    <\/div>\n    <\/div>\n<\/section>\n\n\n\n    \n                \n\n<section class=\"content-section as--normal-margin as--txt-dark \" >\n            <div class=\"inner-wrap\" reveal>\n            <div class=\"editor-wysiwyg h-mb-40\">\n                <h2>Setting-up in the Rhone Valley: a territory of opportunities<\/h2>\n<p class=\"as--highlight\">Strategic and accessible plots on offer<\/p>\n<p>CNR offers <strong>companies serviced and constructible plots along the Rhone<\/strong>: close to 840 hectares have already been allotted, and another 100 hectares are still available.<\/p>\n<p>These plots provide rail and river links allowing companies <strong>to control their entire supply chains, from storage to transport<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>This <strong>facilitated access to land, combined with adapted services<\/strong>, encourages the installation of industrial, logistics and trading companies on the Rhone corridor, contributing to <strong>territorial reindustrialisation and activity relocation<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n            <\/div>\n        <\/div>\n        <div class=\"inner-wrap \">\n        <div class=\"as--column as--columns-2\" reveal>\n                            <div class=\"as--column__item editor-wysiwyg h-align-left\">\n                                                                                                        <p>To date, 220 companies have opted to set up in the ports of the Rhone, including Port de Lyon, and benefit from the installations and logistics services offered by CNR.<\/p>\n<p>To accelerate reindustrialisation, the Corridor Master Plan identifies <strong>35 key sites for the installation of industrial and logistics activities<\/strong>, offering a port land catalogue grouping 10,000 hectares and 27 sites of the five port infrastructure managers.<\/p>\n<p>This approach ensures strategic visibility for investors, coherent developments and better exploitation of the river estate.<\/p>\n\n                                                                                                                                    <\/div>\n                            <div class=\"as--column__item editor-wysiwyg h-align-left\">\n                                                                                                                                        <div class=\"editor-img as--rounded\">\n                                    <picture>\n                                        <img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.cnr.tm.fr\/app\/uploads\/2025\/12\/CNR_transport_fluvial_fret_ports-450x450.jpg\" alt=\"\">\n                                    <\/picture>\n                                <\/div>\n                                                                                                                                    <\/div>\n                    <\/div>\n    <\/div>\n<\/section>\n\n\n\n    \n    \n\n<section class=\"content-section as--normal-margin as--txt-dark as--bgcolor\" style=background-color:#68C6DF33>\n            <div class=\"inner-wrap\" reveal>\n            <div class=\"editor-wysiwyg h-mb-40\">\n                <h2>A propitious environment for business development<\/h2>\n<p>For companies, setting up in the Rhone Valley means <strong>links between the river, rail, road and sea<\/strong> and quick access to Northern Europe, Mediterranean ports and international markets, all while reducing costs and environmental impacts. They also benefit from the availability of 100% renewable energy produced locally by CNR.<\/p>\n\n            <\/div>\n        <\/div>\n        <div class=\"inner-wrap \">\n        <div industrial and port sites also underpin 18,000 jobs in the Rhone Valley, emphasising the corridor\u2019s economic importance.<\/p>\n\n
