    Environment<\/h1>\n

    In its capacity of hydroelectricity producer and developer of the Rhone, CNR began its actions to preserve the river environment<\/strong> at the end of the 1990s. It has mobilised and increased the number of its projects to preserve the natural heritage of the Rhone by maintaining dikes and its own structures, with respect given to the fauna and flora along the river and by collaborating with different actors in the territories.<\/p>\n

    In parallel with its economic activities, CNR is responsible for protecting and preserving 30,000 hectares of land and wetland<\/strong> in which live a wealth of biodiversity. Its long-established expertise and its vision of the river as a whole enable it to rely on its unique experience to ensure respect is given to the environment along the Rhone.<\/p>\n

    The environment is a major concern for CNR, fully integrated in the development of its activities and in its responsibilities as developer of the Rhone.<\/p>\n\n <\/div>\n\n
