The majority is publicly owned (50.03%), divided between the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.caissedesdepots.fr\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><strong>Groupe Caisse des D\u00e9p\u00f4ts<\/strong><\/a> (33.2%) and <strong>local authorities <\/strong>(16.83%). <a href=\"https:\/\/www.engie.fr\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><strong>ENGIE<\/strong><\/a>, a major global energy company, owns the remaining 49.97% of CNR\u2019s capital.<\/p>\n<p>CNR acts in close collaboration with the territories. Thanks to its <a href=\"https:\/\/www.cnr.tm.fr\/en\/commitments\/missions-in-the-general-interest\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">missions in the general interest<\/a>, it returns to them part of the value generated from renewable hydro, wind, and solar energies.
